Well Jason hopefully you don't need to start needing your social security since there will be several people currently employed by the Red Wings who will
need to be filing soon ... Chelios, Holstrom, Linstrom, Osgood, Draper, Maltby, McCarty, Samuelsson, Rafalski

WOW!!!!! Last nights game was awesome, a little to close for my liking(Reminds me of last years chance at the very end) but the Penguins deserved it! I felt
like it was back and forth the whole game. Very intense game 7!
Can't wait for parade pics, wish I could be there. GO PENGUINS!!!!!!! |

Sieve,
You know your ahead of me in the race to collect SS. Detroit will be back. They were not at 100%. That doesn't mean that's the ONLY reason why they lost. But when you figure Lidstrom had surgery in his testicular area after getting speared by Chicago in the conference finals, Cleary had a pulled groin, Rafalski's back was injured, Datsyuk was never at 100% after the Columbus series, Draper was out because of a stick to the throat area that tore cartilege and he couldn't risk being on the ice...and Tomak Kopecky had a broken orbital bone after getting the crap kicked out of him in Game 4 against Anaheim. Plus, Andreas Lilja did not play in the post season and he was one of their top d-men and Erickson, one of the backups had emergency surgery in the Chicago series...Detroit was NOT 100%. I'm sure the Wings and Pens have great odds at facing each other again next year in the finals. |

That is still no excuse, no team is ever 100% going into the finals. Penguins also had injuries and were not all 100%. They won it fair and square. These two
teams could face each other again, we will have to wait until next season to find out.
Look forward to seeing some new talent come into Waterloo this week at tryouts! Should be interesting. |
