Just saw on the webpage that the Hawks signed a 5 year lease with the city!! WOOHOO! That means my family and I have something to do until 2015!

Thats great, but a larger arena with more seating capacity would have been better, its friggen murder to get a beer in Young Arena, and the passage ways are
much too narrow, a few more bathrooms wouldn't hurt either!

Never, I hear you about some of the stuff.
You must be a pretty new Black Hawk fan. Wasn't that long ago there was no line in the bathrooms and you could buy a beer without standing in line at all. I wouldn't go back to those days for anything. I don't think the city was offering to build a new arena. I think this was just a negotiation on rent and stuff. Very exciting to know the Black Hawks aren't going anywhere. I bet there are other teams in the league that wish they could say the same. |

Lets be thankful we have a city that is willing too give the team a lease the team can work with and hopefully still make money. Love Young arena but a new
rink would be nice . Something will have to be done sometime in the future if attendance numbers keep growing like they have. Look at the number of sell outs
we have eventually the arena will not be able to allow new fans to attend . I am not talking about a HUGE arena just around 5,000. Maybe with a practice
sheet of ice ,a nice skate shop,restaurant . The old dog track lot would be a great place to build. Big parking lot,easy access off of the highway.I would even
be willing to pay a small parking fee to help offset some of the costs (2 or 3 $) . They could give season ticket holders the option to buy a parking pass
when purchasing their tickets. Just a pipe dream.

The old race track would be perfect tbh. I think me and bf would even be willing to pay for a parking pass to do that. It would be so much nicer than
struggling to find parking all over downtown which can be a pain in arse when we are playing against teams like CR or DM. Also it would be convenant especially
for us that (grundy center, hudson etc). The race track would even be able to be divided to have 2 sheets of ice to ...hhhhmmmm my mind is going on this idea
