yes it was great to see some of the boys and to get to watch a little bit of the the play but I do plan on attending today and sunday but before i get to the
rink I must go and do a little shopping to help the boys and Pk with some of what they lost. I too cannot wait for october to get here. Let's help make
this another great season to remember.

Jordan Samuals Thomas is going to be a breakout player next year. Montpetit really looks bigger, stronger and faster. Like the size on D I've seen so far
and the fact they can move with the puck too.

The 6-6 Knodel kid may make the team. I liked Eriah Hayes, 6-3 and always around the puck on O. Tyler Brickler was always in the middle of the action too, he
is showing to have previously been on the Lincoln roster. Andrew Hewitt as well, from Winnipeg I think. Kyle DeLaurel and Matt Johnson got my attention as
well. I guess that may not mean much...but they looked good to me. Student, a protected...looked good. Where was Fink? He was on the initial rosters but I
never saw him on the ice. I thought Dan Sullivan looked like he had a chance at the #2 goalie as well. Howe looked great...and VERY confident.
The returning players clearly had an edge on the others. |

Yeah, I thought Hughes looked good too. I forgot about him. He will replace Drew MacKenzie. Similar looking player. Not sure if he has more of an
"edge" or not. Drew was outstanding though, for the year we had him.

Huhges was quick for a D-man. JT Brown was the fastest skater on the ice, he lacked stick handling at times but reminded me of James Marcuo. Dan Sova enforcer, Ben Miller size and experience plus number one draft pick, Jacob Rudd scoring, the rest just stood out to me as quality hockey players. The coaches had hard decisions to make, and there were alot of kids with talent some of the veterans should of been nervous. |

Honestly, I wasn't overly impressed with Ben Miller's camp. That doesn't mean he isn't a legit #1 pick. Maybe he was off...maybe he was
better than I personally thought. Still, the guy put up some huge #'s in the NAHL last year...I'd be shocked if he isn't on the team.

Huhges had a good camp along with Dan Sova, Student and Ryan Hill. I think Howe played as we all expected him to it will be a tough choice for the 2nd goalie.
Beebe and Montpetit looked a little more speedy than last year. Tyler Barnes looks like he'll be a good fit to wear the blackhawks sweater as well.

Some players brought their A games. That line on the red team of Cauley, Delisle and Singer scored at will. Brickler played well also. To bad for the
88's they stood out due to experience but they numbers victims. (age) The fight between Hoshaw and Hill was a heavywight fight big time I felt. Those
two on the same team whooo. both quick and physical. Hill falls into the numbers game also being born in 1988. be nice to see him work his way onto the team.
He did answer the challenge twice. Have not seen that in a while, when asked who will fight he said he would both times. No matter what I think we are going
to get some good new players and would have hated to have to make the decisions the coaching staff had to this weekend.

I think that you all left out one that really stuck out for alot of people and that was Travis Daniels, he may only stand 5'5 but he is fast and he is not
scared to get in there and mix it up and seemed to me to always be right there in the middle of the play. Personally, I think that if you put him and Eddie out
there together the opposing player that has the puck is gonna get striped . In the paper on Monday there was a story on the hawks and PK was saying that they
have never disagreed on choosing players till this year. I can not wait to see the roster it looks like Pk was gonna carry 27 till he had to cut down to 23. I
could not have done their job there was a lot of talent out there on the ice and of the parents that I had the opportunity to speak with were truly impressed
with the number of fans that came out to watch tryouts. One parent told me that we had more fans there watching tryouts than they had at their playoff games.
There where also three parents that said to me that this was the greatest tryout camp that they had ever attended and that they could not get over how great
the fans, the booster club members, the coaching staff, and front office personnel where. They also all said that they would love to be a part of it. So we
have once again shown why we are truly the greatest fans and supporters of the ushl hockey league. Can't wait for the season to begin...... GO
HAWKS!!!!!!!!!!

I agree I meant to comment on his play. That kid played like he was 5-11 or 6-02 was disappointed when he said he did not make it this year.
